Calling All Future Scientist
Welcome!
Arizona Science Center would like to officially welcome you and your children to Virtual Camp Innovation Summer Camp. Our mission is to inspire, educate and engage curious minds through SCIENCE.
Below is an itemized list of materials your child will need each day. Along with that we will also be listing any other information you might need as well. We also ask that you and the campers read through the Internet Etiquette form and submit it on the first day of camp.
Meet your instructor
Cole Travis is a second year instructor at Camp Innovation and is passionate about education, art, and working with children. When he isn’t at Arizona Science Center, he’s normally cooking up a new recipe, playing music, or rewatching a Studio Ghibli film.
You can reach Cole at: travisc@azscience.org
Meet your instructor
My name is Maverick Graham. I am the Lead Informal Learning and Engagement Specialist at Arizona Science Center and work as a Night Camp Instructor at the Phoenix Zoo. My background is in Conservation Biology and Environmental Education, and I love giving random animal facts and bad jokes! Camps are my absolute favorite and I can't wait to meet all of you and have fun laughing, learning, and making memories with you!

Extension Activities:
Anthony Marenna works as Principal Subcontract Specialist for Raytheon Missiles & Defense. That’s a little bit different than a Principal of a school. His job is to manage some of the factories around the United States that make parts of Raytheon’s cool technology. The technology that Anthony works with is for development, which means that these factories are working with Raytheon to invent amazing new things for the future. Anthony has a Master of Business Administration and studied at Arizona State University right here in Arizona and at George Washington University in Washington DC. He loves baseball, camping, and going to the lake.
Rukiya Higgins is a passionate and accomplished leader with over 20 years of engineering and leadership experience in the aerospace/defense and automotive industries. She has had many roles of increased responsibility that has given her significant depth and breadth of knowledge of business and engineering practices. Additionally, she enjoys coaching and mentoring the younger generation to help them successfully transition from academia to the workplace. She obtained her Master of Science in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University.
